Bacteriological Studies on Bile in Korean

Abstract
|
|
|
During Bacteriological investigation of the biliany tract disease correlated to elinical data and their pathologic finding among Korean, following preliminary data showed up;
1. Higher positive culture rate obtained in calculous biliary tract disease patiente than non-calculous patients(80 % :68 % )
2. Common bile duct showed 80% of positive culture rate while gall bladder showed 40%.
3. Sixty per cent of patient with partial common duct obstruction have positive bile cultures. Only 20% of patient with complete obstruction have positive culture.
4. About 50% of patient wish so called acute symptom-chill, fever, leueocytosis, acute severe prostration-had bacteria in bile.
5. Strains of bacteria cultured are mainly so called enteric bacteria.
